VOSTOK's Story: The VOSTOK company's story dates back to 1942 when one of the Moscow watch-making plants was evacuated from Moscow to the small town of Chistopol, located on the Kama River. During the war years, the company's output was solely focused on defense equipment. However, as soon as the war ended, VOSTOK began producing mechanical wrist watches, which have remained their main production item ever since.

In 1965, VOSTOK was appointed as the official supplier of watches for the Defense Department of the Soviet Union. This year marked the creation of the world-famous "Komandirskie" ("Commander") watch. The military watch gained immense popularity, even among those unfamiliar with the military, primarily due to its high precision, excessive reliability, and durability.

The success of the professional watches determined the company's present philosophy: to create mechanical watches that maintain precise timekeeping in any temperature, environment, and survive heavy pressure and blows. This strategy has stood the test of time, as evidenced by the vast multitude of people in Russia and abroad who proudly wear "VOSTOK" watches and the various international prizes awarded for the company's high quality and commercial success.
